Analyzing real impact of transit plan on traffic pt.1

GoTriangle, the regional planning agency,  says that the Durham-Orange Light Rail route, running between UNC and Duke, will serve employees and students. GoTriangle did not take the population distribution and mobility needs of Chapel Hill into account. This map (supplied by UNC) illustrates that hospital and university employees and students don’t live near the proposed transit line.

The Durham-Orange Light Rail is using all the sales tax transit revenue, is not cost-effective, and does not efficiently serve Chapel Hill’s public transit needs.
