Lower Booker Creek Subwatershed Study Needs Your Input

The next Lower Booker Creek Subwatershed Study Public Information meetings will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016.  The Town’s consultant, W.K. Dickson, will provide an update based on the existing and future flood conditions, stream habitat, and stormwater system data that were collected as part of the Study.  W.K. Dickson has begun to identify potential areas for stream stabilization, drainage, and water quality improvement projects and will present examples of these.

The Town’s Stormwater Management Program and W.K. Dickson ask for input from Town staff as well as from other stakeholders as further investigation of potential projects is conducted.

To accommodate varying schedules, the late afternoon session will be a repeat of the morning’s presentation.  Both meetings will begin with an overall summary of the study, followed by questions and answers, and ending with time to share ideas or concerns, and to talk directly with representatives from W.K. Dickson to discuss how potential projects can fit into existing plans.  Written comments may be submitted directly to W.K. Dickson via the project website at www.lowerbookercreeksws.org.

Two meeting times:
June 23, 2016, 11:30am          June 23, 2016,   5:30pm
Chapel Hill Public Library

This Study continues the implementation of the Stormwater Management Master Plan, adopted by the Town Council in September 2014.  Please let me know if you have any questions or would like additional information.
