Obey Creek! The Town is in the midst of negotiations with developer Roger Perry to forge a development agreement for a large mixed use project on 15-501 opposite Southern Village. The final size of the project is as yet unknown but could be as large as 1.6 million square feet, which excludes the necessary 500,000 square feet of parking. Citizens are interested in finding out about if the economic benefits outweigh the costs, the amount of increased traffic on the southern entrance to Chapel Hill, and how stormwater management on a sensitive piece of land above Morgan Creek will be handled.
